Castle Wind Farm

ACED role:

Late stage developer under Old Mutual IDEAS II Partnership, led financial close workstreams covering development, PPA negotiation, procurement, EPC and O&M negotiations, government & stakeholder interaction and arranging  equity and debt financing. Providing construction management services.

Castle Wind Farm is located near De Aar in the Northern Cape and the project will comprise 16 Goldwind 6MW turbines and the project will connect to the national grid via the Hydra Main Transmission Substation.

Castle Wind Farm (RF) (Pty) Ltd, owned by IDEAS Partnership and Reatile Group.

Capacity:

89MW, 16 wind turbines

Status:

Financial Close reached in May 2023, currently under construction.
